Hi there, and welcome to Oven Craze! I’m Stephanie Morgan, the creator behind this cozy corner of the internet where recipes come to life and kitchen adventures never end. My core belief? Great food doesn’t have to be complicated—just crafted with care, curiosity, and a little bit of fun. Whether you’re a seasoned home cook or just discovering the joy of a freshly baked treat, my hope is you’ll feel right at home here.

A little about me: I’ve been baking, sautéing, and stirring up deliciousness for over 14 years. Along the way, my work has been featured in Taste of Home and Country Living, and I’ve collaborated with kitchenware brands like KitchenAid and OXO to test their latest gadgets. In 2023, my signature Lemon Blueberry Muffins won 2nd place at the Midwest Home Bakers Challenge—something I’m still beaming about! Most importantly, though, I’ve learned that food has the power to bring people together, spark laughter, and create memories that last a lifetime.

After years spent in professional kitchens and cozy family gatherings, I’ve seen firsthand how recipes can become more than just instructions—they turn into stories, traditions, and acts of love. It’s the little things that matter: the smell of bread in the oven, the sound of laughter at dinner, the look of delight when dessert is served. Through Oven Craze, I hope to inspire you to create those moments in your own home.

How It All Started

My love affair with recipes started long before Oven Craze was born. Some of my earliest memories are of baking cookies with my grandma on Sunday afternoons, sneaking tastes of dough and giggling at floury handprints on the kitchen table. As I grew older, that spark only grew—whether I was experimenting with dinner for friends in college or perfecting my mom’s chocolate cake recipe for every family celebration.

The kitchen quickly became my favorite place to unwind and connect. There’s something magical about bringing people together over a meal you made from scratch. The smiles, the stories, the shared moments—they’re the reason I fell in love with cooking, and the driving force behind this blog.

Oven Craze started as a simple journal of my recipe experiments, but it quickly grew into something bigger. I realized there’s a whole community out there who shares this passion for home-cooked food and kitchen creativity. Documenting my journey became a way to connect, teach, and inspire others—one recipe at a time.

With over 14 years of hands-on cooking and baking experience, I’ve worn many hats: from food photographer to professional recipe tester, and even as a culinary workshop instructor. My background includes formal training at the Chicago Institute of Culinary Arts, but just as much learning happened in my own kitchen, surrounded by friends and family.

Every recipe you’ll find on Oven Craze has been tested, tweaked, and tasted (sometimes by very honest family members!) until it’s just right. I take pride in making sure each step is clear, every ingredient has a purpose, and the finished dish will wow your tastebuds and your loved ones. I research, experiment, and learn continuously—whether I’m reading the latest on flavor science or exploring a new cuisine on my travels.

Visual presentation is a big part of the experience, too. I do all the food photography here on Oven Craze, capturing the textures and colors that make each dish irresistible. My photos are meant to be as real as your own table—inviting, natural, and mouthwatering.

Outside the kitchen, I’m always seeking inspiration. From farmer’s markets to local bakeries, to late-night chats with fellow foodies, I’m constantly exploring, learning, and bringing fresh ideas back to share with you. I love taking cooking classes in different cities, and you’ll often find those influences popping up in my recipes.

This site is built on trust, honesty, and a love of sharing good food. If something doesn’t work, I’ll say so. If a shortcut makes life easier, I’ll share it. My goal is to be your kitchen cheerleader—helping you gain confidence, try new things, and celebrate every little win along the way.

Carlos brings 10 years of experience in food science and recipe development. He dives deep into the “why” behind each technique, ensuring our recipes are both delicious and foolproof. In his spare time, he experiments with fusion cuisine and collects vintage cookbooks.
